These boots were made for walkin'...

well I was gonna update but I got distracted by some friendly IMs that I felt were a little more important than informing the blog world of my boring life!!

Lots of fun stuff to talk about... Definitely a GREAT weekend!! But I guess that will have to wait.

I'll be pushing (and hopefully going over) 40 hours at Lifetouch this week plus a shift at AE so yah... busy busy busy.

Gettin' up at 7 to go run... let the craziness continue!

Hope everyone is having a good night!

Always remember Summer Lovin' isn't always what its cracked up to be... but some times it can be lots of fun!  Be careful... with your bodies and your hearts!

Much Love from the Home Front!

One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over YOU!....

NIGHT!

HOLLA! (2)

FOOD IS FOR THE WEAK!!!

Right Billy??

So yah... def need to start watching what I eat.  Just cause I'm home and running DOES NOT give me an excuse to eat whatever I want!  Hopefully.... I'll be able to stick to my plan.  I doubt it... but maybe!

So where to begin??  Life has been surprisingly busy lately... and surprisingly pleasant as well.

Guess I can start with Tuesday.  I had the day off so I woke up kinda early (to a nice little text message from Billy telling me he couldn't walk... muahaha! ;-) ), took a shower, dropped off some film at Wal-Mart (and I bought the new Fall Out Boy CD WOOHOO!!!), went by AE to exchange some shorts, went by Old Navy to BUY some shorts, then back to the house to get ready for the track meet.  Kraig came by to pick me up and we WERE OFF to Oak Ridge to watch the wonderful Region meet.  Definitely a GREAT day to sit and watch a track meet but I would have died if I had to run (just a little to hot for my taste!)...  Here's some pictures courtasy of a Ms. Katie Sprinkle and her digital camera! THANKS KT!

There's me and Lins!  I'm sure I was crushing her little body! :-D

Our School Record breaking 4x8 team minus Jamie of course!  Aka Terra me and Lindsey!

There's us helping Lindsey stretch... yes we were very aware that we looked like retards but o well!! I miss seeing those girls everday so much!  :-(

THERE'S ME AND TIM!!!! Me and that kid are gonna go out on a date one day!! Right Tim?!?  WAFFLE HOUSE?!?!  haha  I miss him too!  :-(

And there's the beauties of the Powell High track team! haha Stacey and Katie!  Gotta love em!

And there is the wonderful Lindsey Haas after placing 4th in the WHOLE REGION in the 800 with her best time ever!! (2:25)  As well as Coach Revere who for was genuinely happy with her performance!   SHE DID AWESOME!!! We were so proud of her!

And last but not least... there is me and Katie!!  Me and her should be seeing quite a bit of each other this summer cause WE WILL RUN!!!  Hallridge here we come! Right KT?!?

So yes... that was a very good day... lots of fun in the sun and what not.  So I  drove home... changed... and met Billy at the high school.

Much to his dismay I might add lol.  He didn't really wanna go... but I told him to come down and atleast run the greenway once with me so he did.  We ran one together... he left... then I ran it once by myself and then did some strides on the track.

Then it was home for some grub... and off to bed.

Had to be at the office at 6:15 on Wenesday morning... fun... not...

So we went to Sevier Co. for the last day... man was it BUSY!!!  We shot about 62 kids I think!  Crazy stuff... and it was a tear down day so needless to say I had about a 13 hour day!  Can't complain I guess... I'm fighting for hours at AE but I get 22 hours in 2 days at Lifetouch lol.

So I came home... and I was gonna run but I was SUPER tired so I chilled at home with the family instead.  At about 10:30 Terra and DHall drove by my house so I went out to say HI and decided to go with them to THE RUSH to work out!   We did legs and arms and Abs and then I ALMOST beat Terra in SLAM BALL BABY!!! I didn't... but I was close! lol   Me and Terra had some good girl talk and the *NSYNC "Tearin' Up My Heart" video came on!!!  I can still remember the FIRST time I saw that video.  Tracy and Heather had spent the night and we came up from the basement and we heard it coming from the TV in my parents room and we all FREAKED OUT and jumped on their water bed to watch it!! O it was crazy fun times! :-D

ANY WHO...

So we were there till about midnight or so... the dropped me off and it was off to bed cause me and Billy decided we were gonna run in the MORNING this morning... yah...

So I woke up about 8:30 or so... got ready... called Billy... and headed down good ol Emory Road.  Parked across the street from the high school cause poor kids had to take their finals today!  Sucks fo you all... but its over now so you can officially be excited! :-D

So we ran the greenway once... then decided to switch it up and run in the neighborhood across from the high school (the circle in it is about a mile).  Billy drove it later and said we ran about 4.2 miles which isn't too bad at all.  I definitely need to start increasing my millage though!  There's a 5k next weekend... not quite sure where it is but I was thinkin about seeing if KT wanted to run it with me before I head up to the lake for the day! :-D (which I am extremely PUMPED about btw)

I came home and I was just gonna sit around and wash my car (cause I was supposed to work but Kelly called and said they cut my shift)... BUT she called back right when I got home and asked me to come in... so of course I never turn down work!  woohoo... right... So i woked for about 5 hours... came home... ate... and took a nap!

I was gonna go out with Terra tonight... but my nap ended up lasting a little longer than I thought it was going to so I was out!  Found out EVERONE AND THEIR SISTER IS PREGNANT THESE DAYS!!! I mean... don't get me wrong... babies are a beautiful and wonderful creation and a big CONGRATS to all of those who get to bring new life into this world but DANG... I'm just too young to have friends with kids!   But o well... as long as its not me... I suppose.

Wow... Jon just IMed me.  Definitely haven't talked to that kid in... o... 2 months or so!! He said he came by the store today to say Hi and to do a little shopping (i was already off though)... cause he definitely left all his shorts in BRASIL!  He's back and safe so Amen for that!  He went to Brasil for a while with his church for a mission trip... he really seems to have been touched by it so I am extremely happy for him!!!  He said he's goin to Equador over spring break and Brasil again in the summer so everyone keep him in your prayers.  I can really see God doing great things with his life... :-D

blackmagik38: imagine a rose in your hand with your arm extended..

blackmagik38: ...your hand is God...the rose represents all worldly things and distractions...

blackmagik38: the rose slowly comes up inbetween you and God.  You start to loose focus on God and focus on that pretty rose coming between you and God.  Over time the pedals will wither, fall off, and the rose will die...

blackmagik38: the rose gave a temporary happiness that eventually went away...but your hand is still there...

blackmagik38: the worldly distractions we allow will come and go and where our focus needs to be is on God and his will

DEFINITELY a good way of looking at things... kinda scary because of the truth behind it...

I'm gonna be honest though... I'm pretty jealous.  Not of HIM really... just of his experiences.  Of anyone who has had an experience like that.  I read about people that go on gut wrenching mission trips... talk to friends who have had those experiences.  But I've never experienced it for myself.  I often feel like I need a MAJOR wake-up call when it comes to my life and the way I'm chosing to live it.

Well... tomorrow is yet another day in the life I suppose.  I don't have to work so that is wonderful!  Kell called and asked if I wanted to go out to eat or something.

It's SOOO weird... for some reason... I just don't really wanna date right now.  Not that he's not a great guy... But ANY guy... not to sound conceited AT ALL... but I've had a few guys asking me out lately and stuff.. but I just don't FEEL like it for some reason.  Maybe its cause I don't want the pressure of dressing up and eating properly, maybe its cause I know some of them just aren't the right "type" of guy for me, or maybe its cause I feel like there are more important things in my life right now... like God, My Girls, Running, Working... in that order... lol.  WHO KNOWS!

Maybe its just something I shouldn't worry about right now... I've never been too good at rejecting people though... actually i've never been ANY good at rejecting people.

Well with that I'm going to go...

Maybe I'll get up and run in the morning... it would be good for me.  GOTTA GET SOME NEW SHOES AND INSOLES BEFORE MY LEGS FALL OFF!!

Out For Now

Always remember God's foolishness is wiser than man's wisdom!

You Got Somethin' To Say??

Tuesday, May 17, 2005
"Hey! That's almost a Whore House!"

So last night was definitely interesting to say the least.  Again, can't say it was the worst night I've ever had in my life... but... i dunno... it was just kinda weird.

We (Me, Amy, Georgia, Chad, Eric, Logan, and Thomas (his friend from Maryville that we met at the party) )got to the place and this band was playing praise songs, I WON A NEW CD! which was fun, then a hard rock bang got up there... Eric and Logan had a fun time MOSHING i do believe!  It was rather funny to watch...  Then they played a little dancin' music and we tried to get into it but no one was really on the floor so we left.  I mean don't get my wrong we stayed there for about 3 hours or so...
Me and Chad got a little bored though while the guys were moshing so we figured out the flash on my phone and what not.

Its all red and stuff.... but I really think it's my phones fault and the fact that it was pretty dark in there and you can see it that well is kinda cool... sorry you kinda look like a tomato chad! haha :-D

O yah but before Ground Zero we went to Mellow Mushroom for some GRUB.  Me and Chad split the Jerk Chicken and it was very good!   We let Eric in on the NcM plan.  Told him it was patent Chad Elmore and Co. though so he couldn't steal it but he was ready for Chad to print him up a contract right then and there.  And well... that's where the quote of the night ^^^ came into play.  HaHa fun times!

Right... so after that we left and went to the Shell station so Eric could get some Tylonol and he bought me shock tarts!!! THANKS ERIC!! :-D  They were wonderfully delicious!   Then we had some nice parking lot chat and then I rode with Chad back to my car (I met him at his house).  We had some interesting talks about life in general... always good convo with Chad... and then it was off to bed for me!

Definitely had to get up at 5:45 this morning so i could get to the office at 6:15.  We went to Sevier County... which was intesting.  Me and Amy M got school breakfast!! haha Biscuits and Gravy baby!!  and it sure didn't taste too bad....

Here's me and my friend Kim  she is by far my most favorite photographer ever!  WE MISS YOU EMILY!!!!!  Wish you could have been there... wish you could ATLEAST be here some... sad times! :-(

Gotta love her!! :-D  She was late today too... BAD LIFETOUCH EMPLOYEE! lol

ANYWHO... so I had about a 10 hour day... came home.. and took a nap!!

Billy called last night while I was out and asked me if he could go running with me... since I am his "Favorite X-Cross Country Runner"! haha...  So I slept a little later than I planned on... we we didn't end up meeting at the high school till about 8:15.  We ran the greenway TWICE!! I was so proud of him! :-D   And Kayla even drove by and literall hung out of Cherish's new 4Runner... maybe?? Might have been an Exploer (she got it for her birthday...)  so that was fun!  WE'RE GOING AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT!! woohoo (Kay might come too)!!  I'm gonna get that boy in shape if its the last thing I do! lol  Then I think I'm gonna run by his house and get my half of our pictures and show his momma the ones I took with my cameras and stuff... should be fun! :-D

So after I left Billy and the HS I called Kayla and she said her Micheal and Cherish were going to the track to run... SOOOO... I went BACK to the high school to run some more with them.  What can I say... I never give up a chance to hang out with my favorite Married Couple! haha

Speaking of... THEY SAID THEY'RE GOING TO THE LAKE THE WEEKEND AFTER GRADUATION! (which I think is also Memorial Day weekend... so it'll be REALLY crowded so it should be fun!)  They said KYLE WALKER might come too!! Which is extrememly exciting!! He's cheating on my though!  Stupid boy... lol... j/k I like Taylor... she's a cool girl and I am extremely happy for him! :-D

Right... so we did some laps and ran the stairs a few times... Micheal jumped the hurdles and about scared me and K to death!  Then we looked at each others prom pictures... I called my dad to see if he could get Micheal a job... and then it was back to the house!

Woo... I'm bout over this entry now lol.

Had a nice convo with Kell... who is now in Knoxville and had his first day of work today.  He said he likes it but its really hard work... but I'm glad he's enjoying it so far.

Then I talked to Mark for a little while... He was kinda in a wierd mood... He'll probably read this and mention it to me... so yah... HI HUBBY! haha...

anyway...

So tomorrow afternoon me and Kraig are going to the HS Region track meet in Oak Ridge.  It should be fun sitting out in the sun and now having to worry about running!  I'll probably get jealous though... but that's ok.  We're gonna take our old uniforms and pretend like we're running so we can get in free!  (cheating the system... its the best way to go!)

Livin' On A Prayer
-Bon Jovi-

Once upon a time
Not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
He's down on his luck...it's tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says we've got to hold on to what we've got
'Cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not
We've got each other and that's a lot
For love - we'll give it a shot

Whooah, we're half way there
Whooah, Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it - I swear
Livin' on a prayer

Tommy's got his six string in hock
Now he's holding in what he used
To make it talk - so tough, it's tough
Gina dreams of running away
When she cries in the night
Tommy whispers baby it's okay, someday

We've got to hold on to what we've got
'Cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not

We've got each other and that's a lot
For love - we'll give it a shot

Whooah, we're half way there
Whooah, Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it - I swear
Livin' on a prayer

We've got to hold on ready or not
You live for the fight when it's all that you've got

Whooah, we're half way there
Whooah, Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it - I swear
Livin' on a prayer

You Got Somethin' To Say??

"I'm crawling in the dark... looking for the answers..."

I guess we can start with mine and Amy's less than eventful trip to "Murvul" as Amy Dub so lovely called it.

We drove up there... met Logan who was already 12 beers in... still very coherant... BUT... yah... anyway...

We got to the big field where they were having BBQ and standing around not doing to much.  I met a bunch of interesting people, made a couple new friends lol, and that's about it.  I think it would have been a little more intersting if Amy didn't have to be back home by midnight (the joys of living with non-understanding parents I suppose).  O yah and Amy... HOW CAN YOU GO TO SCHOOL THERE?!?!  Its smaller than OUR HIGH SCHOOL!!  There were prob about 300 people there and everyone was like "OMG this party is awesome, there are so many people here" and to put it into perspective Amy said "Um... this is the size of my psychology class".  It was like a really bad frat party at MTSU... sadly.  I mean don't get my wrong it was pretty entertaining and I got a bag of Cheetos and had some nice convos with new peopel... but nothing to write home to mom about.

I was kinda glad we had to come home early though cause I pretty much just came home and went to bed.  I had to be at work at 11 which def isn't too bad.  Then THE MALL CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! lol  Yah... the mall manager def came into the store and told everyone we had to evacute so that was interesting.  We all went out to Trent's truck and sat for about 30 minutes (but we still got paid so I can't say I hated it too much).

There's Trent and his goofy self!! haha...  He's coming to MTSU with me next year and he's gonna crash at my apartment if his roommate is a douche (or so he says... ;-) )

And there's our American Eagle Hotties (aka Wes and Tanner)!! haha  Yah... we were just a little bored can ya tell??  We all wanted to go get breakfast so bad but Jennie wouldn't let us! :-(

So we got back into the mall eventually and it REEKED!!! it was disgusting... but we dealt with it.  One of my manager's almost made me cry... but we won't to into that... i was a little TOed by the whole thing though!  Then I talked to Adam Holland about getting his hair cut (gotta love random break phone calls!)  I told him to get it trimmed and highlighted... so guess we'll see what he does.

So I got off about 4 or so and went home.  After getting something to eat I headed over to West Town to exchange some stuff... stop my classy lady to exchange the earings I bought that were borken.  TANNER M - They wouldnt take em back!  I was a little mad.... but they jsut gave me a pair that weren't broken but how gay is that?!?  I don't even need the things anymore!

Moving on..

SO I came home... changed... went and ran about 4 or 5 miles... did some 200s on the track (yah that def stunk!!!)  Then I went home... took a shower... and FELL ASLEEP!! I was gonna go over and hang out with Jeremy but my sleep deprevation got the best of me (he doesn't believe me but o well...)  Then I woke up for a little while... cleaned up the kitchen from the DINNER FOR ONE meal I made for myself (my whole family is up at the lake) and then went back to bed.  Mark called at like 2 in the morning and just had to come by and see me so he did....

Woke up this morning... went to work at 8... did inventory till about 10:30 and now I'm back home trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the rest of the day.  Van (my friend from work) is supposed to call me and we may go see Kingdom of Heaven (not quite sure if i really wanna go yet or not... i mean I wanna see the movie... i just have other stuff I need to do too).

TONIGHT:  ME, AMY, GEORGIA, CHAD, ERIC, and maybe MATT KANE are goin to the new "Christian" club GROUND ZERO.  I heard about it on Love 89 and figured it was worth checking out.  I'm not quite sure what a Christian Club is... or what will go down but its worth supporting if it really is a good fun enviroment.  The weird thing is its only open on Sunday nights (i think!) and its for 18 and up.  When I first heard about it I was waiting for them to say it was for teenagers or something... but when they said it was 18 and up it got my curiosity juices flowin.  I know for sure there's no alcohol and new smoking... but that's about it.  I'm fixin to look it up and see what time their open and stuff.
Talked to Chad about it last night (poor kid got in a wreck!! :-(  but it was DEFINITELY NOT HIS FAULT... and its got a pretty funny story to go along with it! righ Chad??)  anywho... and we figured we might go out to eat first and if it isn't any fun we'll either leave and go to Joe's or we'll just have a late night party on The Deck with the cool Mood Lighting! lol

Guess I'll just post about all that later.

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon... I should go lay out... or clean my room... hm... decisions.

Anyone that wants to by me the new FALL OUT BOY CD will be my best friend till my dying day! haha... or maybe I'll just go to Target and buy it later.. MAN! I bet it was on sale last week... stinky!

I leave you with a song by a group with a really HOTT drummer! lol  I really wanna go see these guys live and see if they're any good.   Which I'm sure they are!

Whiskers, But No Whiskey
-Top Hat Rolls Boxcars-

THEIR WEBSITE

This slightest turn from those working patrons (or your friends)
Has inclined a new weekend ritual-
A habitual gathering of a less than perfect crowd.
And you, like a fish out of water, are thirsty for the crown.

Your weekend reveries
And all of your “weakened” friends
Are over your darling mistakes.
We’re over your darling little mistakes.

And like a king to his crown,
You just won’t let it go.
Just let us take your bottle,
And we won’t let you fall down.

Roll the dice;
I’m sure it seems like paradise.
But nothing comes as easy as it seems.
